OUR PROGRAMS and EVENTS Safety Harbor Kids events and activities create an environment where children can learn and grow while having fun. We introduce charity minded community members and qualified volunteers with the children in an atmosphere of teaching, learning, kindness and giving. While playing music, painting, watching a play, swimming, playing soccer among other activities, we practice leadership, self-respect and regard for others and our environment. We teach and learn the power of giving while participating in enriching activities together. While doing so, we provide children with education and hope to help them realize their full potentials. Through community events and activities we strive to build an enduring support system with kindness, love, community spirit, education and family values.
Our past and coming events include:
PAST EVENTS:

Leading by example, respect for others and our environment is the theme of the day with many activities including singing, painting, fishing, golf, soccer and animal introductions.
Disney T-Squad and Safety Harbor Kids Career Development Nite Supporting our Career Development programChildren receive consultation and professional instruction at special events throughout the year as they learn about college and career opportunities in areas of radio and television, theatre and the arts, music, business and trade school.
Safety Harbor Kids Labor Day Community Picnic and BBQ Our community picnics are our largest events where we introduce SHK to the community and bring awareness about orphans and homeless youth in our areas. Children from foster care homes and shelters are brought together with local community members to take part in a variety of activities including animal therapy, one on one music and painting, wood crafts, drama, singing, wilderness activities, soccer and swimming among others. Our picnics are made possible by volunteers, memberships and in-kind donations from generous community members and local businesses.
Geoffrey’s Brunch and Beach Party A personal growth, environmental education and career development program where children start the morning learning etiquette, manners and respect for others while enjoying a fun and fancy brunch at a five star restaurant. Afterwards, the children get to visit a local beach, talk in group, learn about the ocean and tide pools, water safety and respect for nature and our environment.
“Think Orange”- for Environmental Education and Personal Growth We start the day with fresh squeezed orange juice then go out into nature and plant fruit trees. Each group plants a tree together and the topic of the day is “How We Grow”. Children work and talk with community members, qualified volunteers and mentors while learning about horticulture, nature and how to give back to Mother Earth. Young Eagles Flight Program -Education and Career Development Children go on a plane ride and get to fly themselves while learning about math, science, responsibility and careers in aviation.
Safety Harbor Kids Sprit of Good Will Holiday Party We give children who don’t have a Christmas or a family to spend it with a special holiday to remember. Just like when you were a kid, sitting by the fire stringing cranberries and popcorn, singing Christmas carols, decorating the tree, hot cocoa and cookies, storytelling and music. Supporting our College and the Arts development programs, we treat our children to singing and music lessons, a play, and story telling with “Living by a Code” as the theme. We have a nice meal and discuss the spirit of giving and how it helps us in our lives. We make holiday cards, presents are then exchanged and stocking stuffers given to all our children!

OUR PROGRAMS
Safety Harbor Events create an atmosphere of fun and philanthropy where children and adults can teach, learn and practice the power of giving. We help youngsters learn kindness toward others, respect for environment and how to feel good by doing good. Through arts, education, wilderness, leadership and health and happiness activities, we provide children with the tools to help them realize their full potential. In a supportive and friendly environment, we share the child’s pain and give them hope by showing them a future.
